It's finally a holiday! Yay! :) I don't have any plans on my schedule except for studying and doing my Chinese History report! Great! *Sarcasm alert!* I have to do it a whole week earlier and I've lost a whole weekend to do it because I have to attend my granddad's funeral on the deadline... Thanks a lot, granddad. You've just added a lot more pressure onto my back. On top of all that, I have a Chinese and a Maths test tomorrow. I need to study like crazy tonight, especially for the Chinese test. *Groans...
Okay, you don't need to hear me rant anymore about my school work so I'll tell you about short story that I wrote last night. It's for English and each one of us has to write a short story. I wanted to do a James and Lily-themed story. I was changing the names and making one of my fanfics (the one spanning over fifth and sixth year, until James birthday and Lily kisses him) non-magical so I could hand it in.
(And yes, there is a perfectly logical explanation about a Muggle kind of Amortentia. It's actually a very complicated mixture of Sodium Pentothal, Sodium fluoride and other stuff. It is called LSD. I've added in alcohol to make the obsession and to influence more false emotions like love more. I'm NOT sure if this will work in real life because it is all based on THEORY! And I shouldn't be telling you too much about this. There are lots and lots of laws about the usage of LSD and stuff like that. If you study Organic Chemistry, you would know...)
I thought that my story was a bit too much and the story might get somewhat boring so I scrapped it and conjured up another story. It's only four pages long and I finished it in an hour or so. It's about this guy called Zach, he's cheated on his wife Cassandra on his wedding anniversary night. (Uh-oh...) So when he gets home at one o' clock in the morning, his wife isn't home. His wife had never returned home that night. He turned on his iPhone and found out that he has seven voicemails.
The first two voicemails were from Cass, reminding him about their anniversary dinner at a restaurant. The third voicemail turns nasty since Zach never showed up. The fourth is Cass telling Zach to not bother to go to the restaurant since she's walking home alone. The fifth is Cass walking home, she senses someone is following her and they're getting closer. She starts to scream but her yell is cut short by a crisp gunshot. Then the line goes dead. The seventh and final voicemail is from the hospital. Cass is in the ER and she's not going to make it. The doctor's report on her condition is cut short because the rhythmic beeping in the background has merged into one, long beep. Then the phone hangs up.
In the end, Zach does regret cheating on Cassandra. He wishes that he was next to her that night. He wishes that he had turned on his phone. He wishes Cassandra was still alive.
So...what do you think? Is it a good story? I'll post the full story later on when I've handed it in!
Cheerio,
Rachelle
P.S. Just in case you were wondering, By Royal Command is the fifth and final book in the Young Bond Series. There's Silverfin, Blood Fever, Double or Die, Hurricane Gold and an extra, Danger Society. I'm currently waiting for the day when I can go the Page One to buy Silverfin, the first book! :)
