So all the tests for is week is OVER! Yep, all I have to do is to study for next week's test. Let's see... Chinese History on Monday, Religious Education tests/dictation on Tuesday and Friday, Science test on Thursday and a Chinese dictation on Tuesday as well! Then the rest of the time is pretty much devoted to revising for examinations. I feel like passing out now.
Anyways, moving on to happier updates. I've read loads of fanfics and I am happy to say that I finally have inspiration on what should happen while James and Lily are dating. Yours truly is back in business. I am now re-planning ideas and events and hopefully can get some chapters out at the middle/end of June! So I'm pretty sure there will be something coming out in early July! Great, because it's way overdue.
Besides Harry Potter, I'm thinking of writing a Gallagher Girls' fanfic from Zach's POV for all 3 books and including his life at Blackthorne. I'm seriously excited on writing about his training at Blackthorne because I get to work with guns and martial arts. I've only worked with guns once and martial arts a few times before and I loved it. And I'm focusing quite a lot on Zach's and Catherine's relationship, how Zach and Solomon are taking down the Circle of Cavan from inside and how Zach first perceived the Gallagher Academy.
At first, I want Zach to kind of hate Gallagher because he thought the girls there would be like his mother. Cold-blooded and vicious since he saw his mother killing people ever since he was a boy. But when he saw Cammie, his perspective changed entirely and he finally found someone who didn't see his mother in him but for who he really was, Zachary Goode, not Catherine Goode's son. So this fanfic's theme is quite closely related to what I think is the main theme of the whole Gallagher series, which is many things are based on your own perspective. Okay, I'm pretty sure 99.5% of my readers didn't even understand a word so...let's move onto something else, shall we?
So I take a Japanese course at school and this summer, school is inviting us to go to Japan on a study tour. I'm not sure if I can go because I really, really want to save money to go to England and buy Harry Potter merchandise. And at the same time, I'm actually taking my mother to England for holiday. My savings are paying at least 40% of the whole cost and I'm going to be the communicator when we go there. I know, weird right? But you know, I just want to help take some financial burden off my parents. I want to pull up my grades so my parents don't have to spend money on tuition. I want to do something to help them.
Actually, we were planning to go this Christmas but then I felt that I didn't have enough time to save enough so last week, I asked my mom to postpone the trip to next summer. To save more money, I will refrain from going on any vacations for the rest of 2012 and the CNY/Easter break in 2013. Besides, I need the breaks to study. When we're in S4 and need to choose classes, it's a huge competition for the classes I want, which are Biology and History. Yeah, loads of people want those classes so I have to do really well for my S2-3 grades so I can actually have a shot at them. I don't want to end up studying for a subject that I loathe and take a university major in it. I also want to aim for English Lit or Psychology. I'm not sure if the competition is strong for those but I guess I have the upper hand for Psychology because I've studied a bit on it before and created a theory on how my photographic memory works with a completely logical reason related closely to Psychology. But if the choices don't work out, I think I'll choose Chemistry and/or Tourism. I am interested in Chemistry and I've listened to my dad, who teaches Tourism, lecture about it since I was 9 so I'm already quite prepared for the subject already
Back to buying HP merchandise, if I go to England 2013 summer, Ophelia's going to America then and Jose's going to England as well so when we all come back for S3, we can pool our HP merchandise or something... That's pretty awesome! :)
But I do kinda want to go because I do like Japan and I missed going on trips with friends, like, JUST friends, no parents. And from what I heard, the prices are alright cheap so I hope I can scrape up enough money to pay for now and I can pay back my mom by taking her to England next year!
Over and out,
Rachelle.
Avada kedavra's light is green and it was used against Harry and his eyes are green. Expelliarmus' light is red and was used against Voldemort and his eyes are red. Their eyes reflect the color of the spells used on them. Wow...
In the chapter, Godric's Hollow, there was this line saying something like 'Did Lily and James Potter even know their only son was standing right over their remains of their bodies?' My breath caught at that part. I imagined James and Lily, who I've always thought were so powerful and lively and eyes full with love and passion, were in a casket. They were lying next to each other, motionless. James' hazel eyes are closed, Lily's red hair has lost its shine. It was so sad to see such a love so strong and so powerful to end in such a tragedy, to finally get it ('cause James worked so hard to get Lily) and have it taken away from you so quickly.
Just in case you can't see it, Lupin's box is saying, 'Considered to be teachers for pathfinders.' And I approve of James' choice of being a stag, not because it can show his noble side or whatever but it can show that James Potter, dubbed 'arrogant toerag' and many other colorful names by Lily, was in actuality a very caring young man. I admire that sort of personality in people.
Nah, he's taken, ladies (by Lily of course). :)
This is deep.
