6 memorable things people have said to you...
1. "Even when people hate you, they still care." Trevor Ng. That gave me alot of hope of the future. :)
2. "All you need is an outside hand." Horse riding coach. That told me to leave it all to the left hand and it will take care of everything. That helped me get over canter.
3. "I wish everyone could read Chinese books as thick as English books." Xi Lao Shi. I promised her to read more. Whenever I felt fed up with reading Chinese, I remembered what she said and kept going because she was the best Chinese teacher I've ever had, I felt that I HAD to do something for her.
Now, I've accomplished it.
4. "You are different from others and unique." Tony Tan. Before he said it, I was basically a shadow in SIS. I wasn't popular, I wasn't really know for anything except for "Walking Dictionary" or "Chinese Genius". I was just... there. When he said it in the letter, I felt encouraged to stand out of the crowd. It changed me a lot.
5. "Promise me you'll live a good life after I'm gone." My "replacement mom" which is basically the helper that was with me for 8 long years. She said it before she left of US, she knew I was sad, in depression for a long time so through that, she asked me to be happy. The only thing she asked of me and she asked me to be happy.
6. "You are a good co-author." Kenneth Hong. Before I started writing for him, my writing dreams were crushed. My mom and dad told me there was no way their kid was going to write for a living. I knew I shouldn't have listened to them but I was just 8-10 then. The adult's words was law, I had to believe it. In P6, I started writing again. It was a peculiar sensation. All the wild ideas coming back, the enthusiasm was flowing through me again, it was coursing through my blood, roaring in my ears. I felt alive.
