Okay, there’s good news and bad news.
Bad news: Might be quitting skating. L
Yes, I know I said I am going to go for ISI Asia soon, like, November but my studies are falling, real low. Especially fucking Chinese and Chinese History. I really need more time for revising. Hard core revising. I realized that my Chinese History is seriously horrible because I came from an international school so not much contact with China’s history whereas most of the other kids are already pros at it BEFORE secondary! So must buck up! *Singlish accent :P And don’t even get me started on Chinese. Most of the time in Chinese class, I don’t even know what crap the teacher is babbling about! So I sit there glossy eyed and all stare-y. On top of all that, I need to fit in tuition homework for Chinese and Math. I’ve been piling it up for weeks! ARGH!!!! TALK ABOUT PRESSURE!! T^T
GOOD NEWS: DAD IS KINDA ALLOWING ME TO GO TO ENGLAND TO STUDY!!!!! SCREAM!!!!!! Yeah, I know it’s just my Dad saying it but he’s just the only ‘human obstacle’ in the way. My mom will just chuck me out anytime, as long as my dad allows. SO YEAH!!!! OH YEAH!!! Okay, all I need to do now is raise my studies, save A LOT more $$$, Skype them every night (help them figure out Skype first of course) and research on the boarding schools there. I’ve made a list!!
Financially:
Ø Take at least $20 out of my weekly allowance and still save leftovers. At most two packets of drinks and three snacks. The rest for transportation.
Ø Save as much as possible for the $200 I’m allowed each month with basically anything I want. So each month at most buy one book and maybe a snack or two…
Ø Turn down fans; it’s not that cold anymore. (Saves money for electricity and saves the environment)
Ø Shorter showers, turn off lights and electrical appliances when not in use ad all those stuff. (Saves money for electricity plus water bills and saves the environment)
Ø I also want to quit skating for another better cause. I can save $700 per month (including lunch, car petrol and parking fees)!! J I’m aiming to leave at S4 so I can save $25, 200 in just 3 years!! AND buck up on my studies!!
Ø When I quit ice-skating, I shall sell my skates for at least $200!!
Ø Shall try not to use electrical appliances (TV, computer…) unless absolutely necessary (like news) to cut down the price for electricity! But I will use at most once a week so I can keep blogging and contact my friends.
Ø No calling, texting or buying paid apps with my phone/iPod because it is a waste of money and I shall only text or call when necessary.
Ø Will not buy new phone, even though I’m DYING TO!!
Ø No more new clothes or shoes. I have enough and my mom’s bugging me to wear her clothes and shoes so thanks, mom!
Ø Will not buy any more CDs unless they are cheaper than $20. There are in China because the songs I want are all in English.
Ø No more useless stuff like magazines, stationary or stickers unless absolutely necessary. (Yeah, like the scoop on TSwizzle and Selena Gomez. LOLs, JKJK.)
Ø Try to go on holidays with my mom only or let my mom and dad go on holidays on their own. My relationship with my mom isn’t that good so I guess we could try to patch it up by having some daughter-mother time alone and I realized I haven’t let my parents have some breathing space for a long time because of school and all that so in the holidays, they can just pay for two instead of three! So much cheaper!! We might go together on short-term vacations like three days, two nights somewhere close to HK to save money. So much cheaper as well!!
Ø When on vacations, don’t buy so many souvenirs! I realized I go on holiday and I buy a bunch of useless stuff. I will try to cut down!! I guess memories; photos and a few postcards are enough!
Ø Will try not to eat out, I can save loads of cash by not eating out. One, there’s so many people, we must wait and as I have mentioned before, I do not like to wait!!! Two, eating out is unhealthier than at home because they usually cook all the same dishes at once so they will put a lot more seasonings and sugars than they should. Yuck. So unhealthy!
Ø I am writing a book that will, hopefully be published and I will INSIST on halving the profit, which I hopefully will be at least HKD$200.00
Ø Take more public transport to save money spent on gas for the car and parking fees
Ø Will try to find the ancient coins of other countries that my parents gave me like a million years ago (I remember clearly some of them date back to 1962 on a Malaysian coin) and I do believe I have at least $10-20 Singapore dollars, $800 Korean dollars, $10-20 Malaysian dollars and $5-10 European dollars or others (not sure which country). Then I will have to change it back to HKD.
Ø Sell some of my Queen Elizabeth the Second coins when I’m about to leave. They may cost A LOT. I do think I have at least 20 coins.
Ø Do not order food from Deli Fresh (lunch caterer at school) because the food is really horrible and I can get a lunch box and scoop up the leftovers of dinner. Yay! I can save like at least $14, 400
Ø Will try to seek for part time jobs when I’m in England, maybe baby sitting on short holidays or a cashier…
If I stick to these methods, I can save AT LEAST HKD$42, 660.00 YES!!! :D
Money needed: HKD$10, 000, 000.00 T^T
I’ve still got a long, long way to go…
Fortunately, my parents save HKD$1,100.00 per month and the HK government is giving out HKD$6000 to everyone so that means altogether is…
HKD$94, 260.00
Money still needed: HKD$ 9, 905.00
Wait, I still haven’t counted the money saved for holidays and bills and some others yet so I am PRETTY SURE I can reach that amount in three years!! ;) YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH!!!
