I believe in angels

Isabel made this great video about God the other day! It was awesome! (: I loved it, I really did! Three cheers for Isabel! I’ll try to post the video on here when I figure out how to save the video into my Mac and upload it. Anyways, people always ask: Why do you love God? The answer is simple. He loves us too. Okay, maybe it’s not THAT simple. But just because He has unconditional love for us so He deserves our love. Two, God made all of us. He is our Father. I think that in every Christian family, there is a bit of God in the parents. Three, we are sinners but Father always forgives us and helps us to get on the right track. We are all capable of sinning, from the moment we were born. Tempted by Satan. Our parents never taught us how to lie before we lied for the first time, right? (Unless your parents are, well, different…) But God forgives us. We should not have been forgiven, look at all the evil we’ve done. But He sent Jesus to purify us and give us eternal life. We should be grateful. Eternally grateful. Fourth thing, He helps us in the worst situations. Your friends turn their back on you. You failed in some important exam. Your life is full with crap and everything stupid. But God won’t turn His back on you. He has compassion and kindness for everyone in the world. He will help you. Pick you back up on your feet and slowly but surely nudge you forward. There are many other reasons, of course. Making miracles and stuff like that. But that depends on perspective. All the things above are all what I think. Don’t agree? Deal with it.

In my opinion, the best reason about being a Christian is that after you pray, sing a hymn, read a Bible passage… Things like that, you feel much better. A lot better. It might not help your current situation but you’ll feel better and have the strength to carry on. Because when God gives you this situation, He will make sure you’ll get through it. One way or another. And sometimes, people say: Why doesn’t God answer my prayers? He does. But maybe not now. He will answer your prayers at the right time. Just be patient and faithful and He will do something about it. But, of course, don’t be ridiculous and ask for God to bring your dear goldfish back from the dead or something like that. When Jesus was tempted in the desert by Satan, Satan asked Jesus to jump down from a tower. And Satan said if Jesus were truly God’s son, God would save Jesus and not let Jesus die. Jesus said God was not a miracle-maker for something like this. If God wanted Jesus to die from that Tower, He would. But He didn’t, there would be a miracle. (Okay, something along the lines of that. I’m not a very good preacher or someone like that so just bear with my extremely vague descriptions. :P)Remember, God has a special plan for everyone.

And no. I am not a Christian just because I want eternal life in Heaven. Not because I want to be perfect. No. I became a Christian because I wanted to change into a better person. No one likes someone who is full of sin and knows nothing of kindness, faithfulness, humility, love and care. I might not be able to master these “fruits of the spirit” within my life but at least I have attempted and in someway, succeeded, to become someone good. And I want someone to hear me out. There are lots of things I haven’t said to anyone. Teddy bears can’t really “do” anything. Diaries will someday get exposed. Documents will sometime get deleted forever. Friends won’t understand. Parents won’t show compassion. I talk to Him and I know everything will be all right because God knows me like no one else. Sometimes, when I feel lonely, I pray. It just makes everything feel better.

So trust me, when you become a Christian, everything will become much better. No, your life will still have problems but now you have a sky to look upon and a God to lean on.

But if you’re not, well, it doesn’t matter. God is knocking at your door but if you don’t want to let Him in, it’s okay. It doesn’t matter.
