Start of something new

Happy New Year everyone! (: Did anyone stay up till midnight to count down? I did, in fact, I was typing out a blog post. You’ll see it soon enough! Sorry this post is a bit late today, I went to TS to eat lunch and buy a new book then some of my relatives came over to chat for a bit.

My New Year’s resolutions (no promises that I can cross everything off the list):
1.     Try to stop scheming. I’ve found out that I’ve been scheming too often. I admit it’s a bad habit but I enjoy it. I really do! Not sure if I can totally stop and I’m not sure if I can let that part of me go though. :/
2.     Sleep more. I really should sleep earlier because I wake up totally exhausted and can’t start the day and think properly. Lights out at 10.30pm, Rachelle!
3.     Read more. I realized my books are so childish now and I only have some “good” books and I’m running out of books to read! Anyone recommend some titles to me? Actually, I really want to read more classics like the original Dracula and the sequel to Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. And I want to read Michael Morpurgo. He’s a really awesome author.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       I read one of his books before, Running Wild. I cried reading that book. It’s so touching. Oh, and the Phantom Tollbooth is… Mind refreshing? Read it and you’ll know how great is it.
4.     Have a personal relationship with God. (: I really want to, you know. He’s just brilliant and is basically everything wonderful. And that calm, peaceful feeling after a good prayer or hymn is simply amazing, knowing that I am so lucky to have a sky to look upon and a God to lean on.
5.     Find Tim and say everything I need to say to him personally. Not that important but I really want to cross this off the list.

Five should be enough. I hope. Anyways, I’d just like to say that 2011 changed me quite a bit. I’ve matured, grown stronger, learnt awfully more, not just about academics but also about the people around me and seen and learnt more about the world. And the amazing memories created and experiences I had are… Just speechless. There are no words to describe them. Thank you everyone whom I met in 2011 and may 2012 be a start of something wonderful and new! (:
